2020 Ronald H. Brown Weekend LSAT Boot Camp Application

Have you always dreamed of going to law school but never had the support or resources?

The Ronald H. Brown Law School Prep Program at St. John's Law proudly introduces our new program: the Weekend LSAT Boot Camp. This free program aims to serve working professionals, recent college graduates, and college seniors in the New York City area from historically underrepresented groups who wish to pursue a career in the law. We are looking for candidates who are committed to starting law school in the Fall of 2021.

You must submit this application form and upload the following required documents by the deadline, which has been extended to--January 31st, 2020:

  • Official Transcript: Bachelor's Degree Required. You may initially submit an Unofficial Transcript upon application. Request transcript from undergraduate (and graduate, if applicable) school. See more instructions below.

  • Statement of Interest (3-5 typed pages): Please tell us about yourselfyour interest in the law, and any cultural, economic, physical, or educational disadvantage that you (or your immediate family) have overcome. Be sure to include the following in your statement:

  1. Why the legal field? Why are you choosing to pursue a career, or further your career, in the legal field?
  2. What barriers and/or obstacles have held you back from attending law school?
  3. Have you previously applied to law school? What was the outcome?
  4. Have you previously taken the Law School Admission Test (LSAT)?
  5. Have you previously participated in a training or preparatory course for the LSAT?
  6. How did you hear about the Weekend LSAT Boot Camp?
  • List of References with Contact Information for each: Name, Phone Number, Email Address, Position/Relationship to you. Professors and supervisors are preferred. References should be able to speak to your analytical abilities, and reflect on your work product and work ethic.  Please indicate at least two references with supporting contact information (insert contact information in the additional fields as indicated on the application form).

***Official Transcript Request: Upon submission of the application and these documents, you will receive a confirmation email and a Grade Release Authorization form.  Please print out the form and give it to your university's Registrar's Office so they can send us your official transcript.  We must receive your Official Transcript by January 31st, 2020.***

***Incomplete applications will not be considered for admission to this program. All materials, including your Official Transcript, must be submitted by the stated deadline above.***
